Today’s memory verse contains a list of eight things to think about. These include majoring in thoughts that are true, noble, pure, just, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy. When your thoughts are contrary to these things, It means that the heart is sick and needs urgent attention. A sick mind will definitely produce ungodly attitudes and unwholesome words.
Do you desire healthy thoughts and imagination? You must be determined to discipline yourself physically and spiritually. Get ready to eject all thoughts of fear, failure, defeat and discouragement; replace them with faith, success, victory, boldness and godly confidence. Nothing is impossible as you allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in your life so that your thoughts will be divinely aligned.
Prayerfully pull down the stronghold of evil thoughts; begin to saturate it with the word of God, and the Holy Spirit will turn your heart into a fountain of godly thoughts that will produce Christlike character in you. The Bible, in Proverbs 23:7, says, ‘As a man thinketh in his heart so he is… This is yet another confirmation from a spiritual perspective of how powerful your thoughts can be, and how deep it can affect your entire personality. The ten spies in our fire scripture had thought of self-condemnation and failure before the people of the land. Thank God for Joshua and Caleb who refused to look at the size of their opponents. Rather, they saw the size of God, who is bigger than any challenge. They had the mind of an overcomer, and they eventually took over the land.
Beloved, violent actions, corrosive responses and harsh words are all the result of filthy thoughts. Pride, arrogance, boasting, exaggeration and talkativeness are all negative attitudes and temperaments that emanate from our thoughts. Thoughts of suicide could lead to outright suicide; hatred and bitterness. resentment and hidden anger will lead to physical rage and an unforgiving spirit. Lustful thoughts and imaginations will soon give birth to sexual immorality if left unaddressed. They are evil seeds. Don’t allow them to grow in the garden of your heart. Kill them at the embryo stage. They will defile your entire being if you pamper them. Therefore, align your thoughts with the word of God!
MFM Daily Devotional 15 June 2023 PRAYER POINTS
MORNING
1. Inherited evil thought pattern, I am no longer your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus
2. Vagabond thoughts occupying my mind, you are strangers, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. Any thought or imagination that does not glorify God, what are you waiting for? Be flushed out by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. My thoughts, be aligned with the mind of Christ and the word of life, in the name of Jesus.
5. I reject every negative thought of… by the power, in the name of Jesus. (insert the negative thought)
6. Lord Jesus, circumcise my heart afresh and sanctify me with Your word, in the name of Jesus.
7. Father Lord, renew the right Spirit in me so that my thoughts will be pure and holy, in the name of Jesus.
