Topic: Overcoming Anxiety

Memory verse
Isa. 26:3– Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Fire Scripture Matt 6: 25-30

Anxiety is common to man. Every human being gets anxious at one time or the other. It becomes a concern when a person is no longer in control of himself or herself. When anxiety takes over a person’s life, it becomes a disorder, mentally or emotionally, making the victim to think and behave irrationally. Anxiety is generated from excessive worry which is an unprofitable venture that doesn’t proffer any solution.

Rather, it compounds the situation. God warns us to desist from worry. Worry, a close ally of anxiety, operates subtly from the inside, killing it’s victim slowly. When you are anxious, you are already working against divine counsel. And why should you, when you can take your matter to God in prayer.

Anxiety will surely occur when you take the control of your life away from God. Stop and think deeply. How many problems have you solved under your state of worry and anxiety? Worry and anxiety only make the burden heavier! What an unprofitable venture and time wastage. Worry and anxiety are always counter-productive.
