Faith, as a fruit of the Holy Spirit, says a lot about your character as a Christian. It also says a lot about your walk and relationship with God. Since God is always faithful to all His promises, you, as a Christian, should be faithful in your calling. Faith is the evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work in your life. Being faithful is a character trait that combines dependability and trust, based on your confidence in God and His eternal faithfulness.

To be faithful is to be reliable or trustworthy. The keys to surviving persecution are patience and faith. When you are faced with crushing troubles and hardships, have faith that God is using them for your good and for His glory. God is good and fair. He has not forgotten you. In His time, He will end your suffering and punish those who persecute you. All you need is to have faith and confidence in Him.

If God says you are healed, believe Him and you will receive your healing. Jesus told the woman with the issue of blood, “Thy faith hath made thee whole” (Matt. 9:22). The same thing goes with the centurion (Matt. 8:13). This man’s faith amazed Jesus. With faith in God, He can change a hopeless situation to testimony.

This faith also manifested in the life of the woman who had the issue of blood for twelve years. In your trouble and desperation, reach out to God in faith and He will respond. In Matt. 17:17, the disciples were unable to cast out the devil in someone’s life for lack of faith. It is the power of God and your faith that move mountains.

The Bible says that if your faith is as small as the grain of a mustard seed, which was the smallest particle, it is sufficient to move your mountain. There is a great potential in a little faith when you trust in God’s power to move. Whenever you face a problem that seems big and immovable, look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. It is only then, you will be able to overcome the obstacle. Put your faith to work today and you will experience the awesome power of God.

HYMN: Begone, Unbelief; My Saviour is near

1. Begone, unbelief; My Saviour is near,
And for my relief will surely appear:
By prayer let me wrestle, and He will perform;
With Christ in the vessel, I smile at the storm.

2. Though dark be my way, since He is my Guide,
‘Tis mine to obey, ’tis His to provide;
Though cisterns be broken and creatures all fail,
The word He hath spoken shall surely prevail.

3. His love in time past forbids me to think
He’ll leave me at last in trouble to sink;
While each Ebenezer I have in review Confirms
His good pleasure to help me quite through.

4. Why should I complain of want or distress,
Temptation or pain? He told me no less;
The heirs of salvation, I know from His word,
Through much tribulation must follow their Lord.
