TOPIC: Essential Tools For A Prevailing Prayer Life (II)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 2:4-9 (KJV)
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

MEMORY VERSE
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES:
To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP: Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: Today, God will transform your prayer life and give you dumbfounding testimonies, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional 2 December 2023 MESSAGE

Prayer is a daily necessity for daily triumph in the life of every believer. That is why the Bible enjoins us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). You should ask God to give you the spirit of prayer and supplication.

Mercy is the third tool you need to make your prayer effective and prevailing. The mercy of God is a game-changer. The Bible affirms that mercy triumphs and rejoices over judgment. Mercy will spare you the punishment you deserve. If there is any sin that can hinder your prayer from being answered and your miracle or testimony, you should seek and get the mercy of God. Heaven will overlook your mistakes and still bless you.

In Romans 9:15-16, God told Moses, “I Have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion. It is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth, it is of God that showeth mercy.” Mercy is a veritable key for making your prayer effective. God does not ignore the cry for mercy. I pray that God will rain His mercy into your life and make your prayers result-oriented, in the name of Jesus.

The fourth tool is grace. In Hebrews 4:16, the Bible urges us to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace in a time of need. While mercy will ensure you do not get the punishment you deserve, grace will ensure that you get good things you ordinarily do not qualify for. Elijah enjoyed God’s grace in his time. God singled him out and used him mightily though 7000 other prophets had not bowed to Baal nor eaten from his table. God’s grace made Elijah’s words so powerful that he locked up the heaven over Israel and there was no rain or dew for three and a half years. During the drought and famine that ensued, Grace made adequate provisions for Elijah and he never lacked food and drink.

Beloved, God’s mercy and grace are essential components for a great prayer life, and they are obtained, renewed and restored in the place of prayer. I pray that God will multiply His mercy and grace towards you today, in the name of Jesus.
