Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.

For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

MFM Daily Devotional 20 October 2022 MESSAGE

The life of Moses is a good example to every believer. Moses started his life in Christ like every other believer. He had fears when God called him to go and confront Pharaoh. At some point, he was a frustrated leader because his followers were stubborn and never prayed for him.

They did not believe him and always questioned his authority over them. He faced the challenge of leaving his family behind to follow the Holy One of Israel. He fasted and prayed and endured hard times. He chose to follow God and forsook all the riches of Egypt. The Bible called him faithful. His greatest desire was to see the glory of God.

Beloved, the God that called Moses is the same we are serving today. Man can change but God never changes, He remains the same. The standard He used for our fathers of faith is the same standard He would use for us. The bible says that everything that was written is for our learning.

Since you got born again, how many people have been encouraged to serve God because of your life? Is your life demonstrating Christ or the devil? Are you growing or are you still fighting with worldly desires? Time is running out, we need to awake out of every spiritual slumber and begin to populate the Kingdom of God. God can use you for mighty works the way He used Moses.

There are several lessons to learn from the life of Moses : God took Him through some tough trainings before He sent Him. That trial in your life may just be your own training ground for the special assignment of heaven for your life. Some lessons from the life of Moses:

  1. He was faithful to God
  2. He forsook the riches of Egypt to follow God.
  3. He lived a life of fasting and prayers.
  4. He kept on desiring God’s presence.
  5. He prayed for his followers and always stood in gap for them.
  6. He taught God’s people the laws of God.
