MFM Daily Devotional 3 December 2021 Outline

We have already established that the Laodicea church was lukewarm. Now, we also have so many churches and individuals who are lackadaisical in the things of God. Perhaps, because they are materially comfortable, they feel, they do not need God or anybody for that matter. When you approach some individuals to preach the gospel, they will assess you from your head to your toes, hiss and go away.

A prominent man of God was invited to a birthday party of someone of high social status. The man of God said that he had already prepared the sermon he was going to preach and had prayed on it. He sat down when he got to the venue and the rich, mighty and famous personalities in the society were there with their expensive clothes and jewellery.

In fact, it was like a fashion competition. When it was time to preach his sermon, the servant of God said that the Holy Spirit told him to change his sermon and preach something else, titled “You Need a Miracle”. He was arguing in his mind that, “Ha, this very rich people? Miracle?” Nonetheless, he changed the sermon and preached the message of the Holy Spirit, “You Need a Miracle”. After the sermon, the celebrant came out and said that the message was for him. What happened? His first son was an imbecile.

Beloved, Christ is knocking on the door of a lukewarm church and the heart of individuals. He desires to come in and restore His companionship and blessing with the people. To those who remain devoted and strong in their faith and are overcomers in the midst of a lukewarm church, Christ promises that they will share in His authority and ultimately reign with Him.

You want to reign with Him? Then you need to repent and restore fellowship with Him; He is calling with open arms.

Motivational Quote
To overcome the wiles of the devil is to be consistent with Christ in our fellowship and devotion.

Prophetic Word
I decree that no power shall keep you away from the altar of God, in the name of Jesus.

HYMN: Draw me Nearer

1. I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
And be closer drawn to Thee.

CHORUS
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service,
Lord, By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3. O, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend!
