MFM Daily Devotional April 12, 2022 MESSAGE

Today, we shall be concluding this topic “That Giant Must Die”. In our Fire Scripture for today, David also confronted his own giant called Goliath of Gath, an intimidating foe who threatened the very fabric of the army of Israel, and seasoned soldiers were cringing in their boots. He threatened the army of Israel for 40 days.

Every morning and evening, he came with a challenge that they should give him someone to fight with. It was in the process of another of his challenge that David got to the battleground and the tide turned against the Philistines. The giant called Goliath of Gath fell down flat and David used the giant’s sword to behead him.

Dear reader of this devotional, if you are going to be great in life, you will have to confront your own giant. If you are destined for success, that giant must die, like Goliath of Gath. Where are you coming from and where have you got to in the journey of your destiny?

What are you facing? What have you been battling with that is making you to think of going back to Egypt to seek for help like the Israelites? I want you to take a cue from David today. In 1 Samuel 17:45- 46, the Bible affirms that David stood on the testimony of God. In the name of the God of Israel, he confronted the giant called Goliath and he brought him down.

Beloved, if you must go far in life, that giant must die; and for him to die, you must do the unusual. How? Goliath was not used to people coming after him; they always turn in fear and run away from him. But David did the unusual; he went after Goliath and that destabilised the giant, thereby giving David a window of opportunity to carry out his assignment.

David was daring. His show of bravery and courage shocked the giant. The stone from David’s slingshot hit Goliath’s forehead and the giant died.

Today, the Man of War who slew Goliath of Gath will slay the Goliath confronting your life, in the name of Jesus.
