MFM Daily Devotional April 6, 2022 MESSAGE

There is a story that the Bible tells us about three wonderful young men who stood by what they believed. They acted it out and even the king of the nation where they were taken captive was so impressed that he ordered that everybody should serve only the God of these young men.

The king set up an image and asked all the people and his officials to bow down to it, but three young men refused. They said they served the jealous God and that you cannot have any other god or bow down to any idol except to Him alone. In anger, the king asked them to be put inside a burning furnace.

Dear reader of this devotional, God was waiting in the fire for them; and when they landed there, it became an air-conditioned atmosphere and they were moving around in the fire. Beloved, this got the king to be converted and he enacted a decree that every person and nation must serve the living God, the God of the Hebrew children (Daniel 3:29).

In our Fire Scriptures, the Bible says that Jesus Christ is the highest example of one who suffered evil for doing good. For those who follow His example, their sufferings are actually transformed into opportunities to identify with their Saviour. They recognise that the highest honour and privilege of any believer is to suffer for the cause of Christ and the spread of His message.

Beloved, to be a true epistle of Christ, you must demonstrate Christ’s unfeigned and unconditional love for others. You must forgive others as Christ forgave you. Your words and actions must edify others. You must also be willing to bear the burden of others at all times. In other words, people must see Jesus in you. There are things you must ignore. There are also things you must not say, so that you can win people to Christ through your ways of life as the epistle that they are reading. You must live in such a way that your observers will have no reason to doubt your words.

I pray that the Lord will give you the grace to be a life-changing and impactful epistle that all will read and follow Christ, in the name of Jesus.
