MFM Daily Devotional May 10, 2022 MESSAGE

God is our refuge and our only sure security. Oftentimes, we entrust our lives to other things instead of God money, fame, career, etc. The only true refuge is the eternal God, who holds out His arms to catch you when the shaky support you trust in collapses and fails.

When you make God your refuge, no storm can destroy you. This is because a song says, “Will your anchor hold in the storm of life.” It goes further to say: “We have an anchor that keeps the sow steadfast and sure while the billow roll fastened to the rock which cannot move grounded firm and deep in the Saviour’s love”

There is strength in God’s arm. Zechariah 2:8 says that because you are precious in the eyes of God, whoever touches you, touches the apple of God’s eye. This is your portion when you come under the protective arms of God Almighty. Also, Psalm 91 talks about God’s protection over His own children who dwell under His outstretched arms. Psalm 91:1 can be illustrated by how the mother hen watches over its chicks, when it takes them out in search of food. The greatest enemy of chicks is the hawk.

When mother hen sights the hawk hovering, it will make a sound and raise its wings for the chicks to come under it. Once they are there, the mother hen will cover them with its wings. No hawk can carry the chicks for as long as they are under their mother’s wings, they are protected. It is the same thing for children of God under the protective arms of God, which is even more secure. When you dwell there, you are protected. Outside His arms are “hawks” which signify the danger and peril of the world.

So beloved, come under the protective arms of the Almighty today for protection and safety. Invite Jesus Christ into your life now if you have not done so. He will open His arms for you to come under it for the most secured protection. Psalm 91:4 says, “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust …” God bless you as you do so, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
