MFM Daily Devotional May 11, 2022 MESSAGE

Yesterday, we looked at what God’s everlasting arm is. Today, we shall be looking at what those arms can and will do for you.

The everlasting arm of God is a hand of protection and strength. If you want to be protected against the wiles of the wicked and you want His strength to see you through this wicked world, you must lean on these arms.

That song writer says:
“Leaning on Jesus
Leaning on Jesus
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning on Jesus
Leaning on Jesus
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms”

The Psalmist in Psalm 46:1-3 says that even if the world were to end, you don’t need to be afraid, just put your confidence in God’s ability to save. There is assurance and hope in God’s protection day and night (Psalm 121:1). Do not trust on other gods but the Almighty  God alone, who created the heaven and the earth. He is all-powerful, He watches over you. You are safe and secured under His everlasting arms.

Family, friends, colleagues, and so on may disappoint, but God will never fail or disappoint you. He is never too tired or busy to protect you. His strength is the source of your strength. When you feel everything is crushing down on you and you cannot go another step, remember that you can call upon God to renew your strength. God’s everlasting arms are the arms of love. He loves and cares for your wellbeing. He is eager to do the best in your life if only you will let Him.

In Jeremiah 31:3, God says, He has loved you with an everlasting love and He has drawn you with His lovingkindness. Romans 5:8 says that even as a sinner, God loved you and sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for you. This is amazing, beloved. His arms are arms of guidance and only in His arms, you can find refuge. Trust in His alms alone because when you do that, you will not sink in the ocean of the world. Leaning on His everlasting arms will bring you comfort and joy, and all impossibilities will become possible for you.
