Nigerian British Gospel music artist, Comms Expert and Songwriter  Joyce Ochelle release a brand new single and music video titled, “Psalm 20, When We Call.”

According to her, “The release of the song is a miracle. My only son has a diagnosis of Severe Autistic Spectrum Disorder and severe developmental delay amongst other things, which makes daily living very tedious for me and my family.”

“On a particular night (during our devotion), I sought to read a scripture to lift my spirit and opened Psalms 20. Now, instead of reading it, I found myself singing through these Psalms!

I noticed my 8 year old son who does not speak kept humming this sound which I got from the Psalms and this prompted me to hit the studio, coupled with the encouragement I received from my husband” – she says.

“This is how the song was birthed.” – Joyce concludes.

Lyrics: Psalm 20, When We Call By Joyce Ochelle

Verse 1

The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble
The name of the God of Jacob defend thee
Hmm defend thee
Send thee help from the sanctuary
And strengthen thee out of Zion
Remember thy offerings
Ohh thy offering
And accept thy burnt sacrifices
Accept thy burnt sacrificees Selah!
Oh oh Selaaah
And grant thee according to thine own heart
And fulfil all thy counsel
We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of the Lord we will
Set up our banners
The LORD fulfil all thy petitions
The Lord fulfill all thy petitions

Chorus

Let the King hear us when we call
When we call
Let the King hear us when we call
When we call
We will call on the name of the Lord
Of the Lord
Let the King hear us when we call
When we call

Verse 2

Now know I that the LORD He saveth
Saveth his anointed
His anointed
Hmmm anointed
He’ll hear him from his holy heaven
With saving strength of his right hand
Of his right hand
Ohhh his right hand
Some trust in chariots, and horses
But we will trust in the name of our God
They are brought down
But we rise up
Save Lord, save Lord, save Lord
Some trust in chariots and horses
But we will trust in the name of our God
They are brought down
But we rise up
Save Lord, save Lord

Chorus

Let the King hear us when we call
When we call
