Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This privacy policy explains how The Christ Gospel Radio (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal information when you visit thechristgospelradio.com, listen to our live stream, contact us, send a prayer request or testimony, subscribe to updates or make a donation. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your information with care, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

The Christ Gospel Radio is an online gospel radio ministry. For anything about this policy or your personal information, contact us at info@thechristgospelradio.com.

Information we collect

We only collect the information we need. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

  • Contact, prayer requests and testimonies: your name, email address, and anything you choose to tell us in your message.
  • Newsletter and updates: your email address, and your name if you give it.
  • Donations and shop purchases: your name, email address, billing details and the amount. Payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card details.
  • Comments: the name, email address and comment you submit, and your IP address to help prevent spam.
  • Technical information: when you visit the site or listen to the stream, our servers automatically record details such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the time of your visit.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your messages and pray for the requests you send us.
  • To share testimonies, but only with your permission. We will not publish your name or story unless you agree.
  • To send you updates, new music and devotionals if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To process donations and purchases and keep the records the law requires.
  • To run, protect and improve the website and radio stream, including blocking spam and security threats.

We rely on your consent (for example newsletters and publishing testimonies), on our legitimate interests in running and protecting our ministry and website, and on legal obligations (for example keeping donation and financial records).

Cookies

Our website uses small files called cookies. Some are essential to make the site work, keep it secure and remember choices such as when you log in or leave a comment. Others may help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

Third-party services

To run the website we use trusted services that may process some of your information on our behalf, including:

  • our website host, which stores the website and its data;
  • our radio streaming server, which delivers the live stream and records basic technical details such as IP addresses;
  • security tools that protect the site from attacks and spam;
  • payment providers that process donations and purchases;
  • Google Fonts, which supplies the lettering used on the site, so your browser connects to Google when pages load;
  • embedded content such as YouTube videos, which behave as if you visited those sites and may set their own cookies.

Links to our Facebook, TikTok and Instagram pages (@christGospelR) take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy policies. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. Messages and prayer requests are deleted when they are no longer needed, newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe, and donation records are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email info@thechristgospelradio.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our content is suitable for all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.

Keeping your information safe

We use secure connections (HTTPS), security software and restricted access to protect your information. No website can be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your details safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
