17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

18 And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers.

19 To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the Lord hath spoken.

DCLM Daily Manna Friday 1 December 2023 MESSAGE

Many, in this contemporary world, in their licentious and unrestrained pursuit of glory have lost sight of the unchanging demands and expectation of God. Men desire to succeed without labour and to reap when they have not sown. This quest most often ends in frustration and failure, having left God out of the equation of their lives. They prove right the words of Richard L. Strauss who wrote, “God is delighted at performing miracles for people who see themselves as part of His programme… And who live to do His will”.

Today’s passage reveals the simple demand of God that will enable man key into His abundant provision that has been freely made available. These provisions include our wellness, possession of good land, victory over enemies, protection and many other things summarised by Apostle Peter as things “about life and godliness”. Obeying God’s command is, therefore, a duty and it is in our best interest. God’s promises are for those who delight in His precepts.

Those who live right will reap peace, prosperity and protection from Him. Although God is good to all, His promises are for those who delight in His precepts. Stop blaming God for not intervening in the chaos and troubles in the world; they were not caused by Him but by the digression of man from the path of obedience. Today, many believers do pray for the death of a perceived enemy whom they think is responsible for their challenges in life. Truth is, the surest way to miracles and God’s blessings is the path of obedience. You must surrender to His precepts today to enjoy His promises.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Obedience brings blessings.
