MFM Daily Devotional 13 September 2023 MESSAGE

Judas made a choice to fulfil a negative prophecy. When it was prophesied that someone would be a son of perdition, nobody’s name was mentioned. This means that Judas was not predestined to be the son of perdition but he made a choice to fulfil that prophecy.
Beloved, your destiny is in your hand and whatever you choose to make it becomes what it is. Do you know that Jesus would still have died for our sins even if Judas had not sold Him off? That is why He came to the world and the prophecy that has gone ahead must be fulfilled. It doesn’t have to be through Judas, but he made that choice.

We can all change the course of our destinies through our choices. For instance, Jabez, by default of the prophecy that had gone forth through his name, should not be close to being honoured in life because he had been named a child sorrow. But thanks be to God, he changed the course of his destiny through fervent prayers. You can do the same if you so decide and choose to do so.

Esau’s case is an example. He was not blessed but Jacob was. Anyone would have thought that Esau could never amount to anything in life, that he would have to beg from Jacob all his life. Far from it, he took his destiny in his hand, worked hard and changed his destiny. “And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, these are to find grace in the sight of my lord. And Esau said, I have enough, my brother, keep that thou hast unto thyself.” (Genesis 33: 8-9). King Hezekiah was meant to die according to prophecy but through prayers he changed it and got fifteen years extra from the Lord.

You don’t have to fulfil those evil and negative prophecies, no matter the spiritual status of the one that gave the prophecy. What prayers cannot change does not exist!
Our God is a merciful God. You can turn your life around on your knees, but it is a choice. May we not be positioned for negativity, in Jesus’ name.
