TOPIC:  The Way Of Truth (I)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm 15 (KJV)
15 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY
TODAY, YOU WILL EXPERIENCE THE LIBERATING AND TRANSFORMING POWER OF THE TRUTH, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

MFM Daily Devotional 15 December 2023 MESSAGE

The Bible is the word of truth. It refers to our God as the God of truth and the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of truth. It also affirms that grace and truth come from Jesus (John 1:14) and that He is full of grace and truth (John 1:17).

Truth is that which is consistent with the mind, will, character, glory and being of God. Biblically, it is the knowledge of the Law of God and its application, and this is what keeps us whole. God wants us to build our lives on truth as well as to promote and defend it. He detests lies, falsehood and deception. The devil is the father of lies and his children are identified by their life of deception.

Proverbs 12:22 says, “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy.” Similarly, Psalm 15:2-3 describes true children of God as those that walk uprightly, and work righteousness, and speak the truth in their hearts. They backbite not with their tongues, nor do evil to their neighbours, nor take up a reproach against their neighbours. Also, Exodus 20:16 warns that believers should not give false testimony against their neighbours.

Lack of truth in marriages, business relationships, ministries, financial dealings and so on is the reason many societies around the world are in turmoil and turbulence. Truth promotes peace, harmony and progress. Beloved, are you committed to the truth? Do you consistently communicate the truth and live it out daily? You should heed God’s word in Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be praise, think on these things.”

I encourage you to choose the way of truth. Pray that the truth prevail in our interpersonal relationships, in our educational institutions, in our market places, in our judicial system, in our families and in our churches, etc. When we all choose the truth and righteousness, heaven will exalt us and we will enjoy unalloyed peace!
