MFM Daily Devotional 3 November 2023 MESSAGE

Prayer is the cable that connects us to God. We can pray to know God’s will. This is because humans, believers and unbelievers alike, make decisions daily. It is also true that the decisions and choices we make daily affect us positively or negatively. Therefore, it is wise to pray to God, get His guidance and make the right decisions consistently. Should you take the job offer from company A or company B? Should you choose this suitor or not? Should you buy a house or invest your money in a new business? In each case, it is wise to pray to God to know His will and then obey Him.

Apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesian church that they would grow in the knowledge of God. In another church in Rome, he made them understand how to know the good and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2, *And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

King David was one man who constantly enquired from the LORD on anything he wanted to do. Praying to know the will of God is vital for the Christian. It keeps you in line with God’s plan for your life. It hides you under the cover of God’s divine calendar for your divine destiny. You are protected from errors that can leave a permanent negative mark on your future and life.

When Abraham wanted to get a wife for his son, Isaac, he told his servant to go to his people. He warned him not to let Isaac marry any strange woman from the land of the Canaanites. The servant prayed to God to help him perform the will of his master, Abraham, and God answered his prayer by giving him the sign he asked for.

When you are praying to know God’s will on any matter, you must look into the Bible. God’s word is your best guide to knowing His will. You should also pray a lot in the spirit and pray in understanding. Engage in the prayer of inquiry. Also, give quality praise and worship to God; His will shall be revealed to you.
