MFM Daily Devotional 30 March 2024 Message

God wants us, as Christians, to live a righteous life, a life worthy of emulation in and out of the church. The Bible also counsels us to conduct ourselves wisely in the house of God and before others such that no contrary word shall be spoken against God for our sake.
The truth, beloved, is that we are in the world but not of this world. Our final destination as Christians is heaven, living in eternity with Christ Jesus. But as long as we are here on earth, we should live and manifest exemplary character traits that others will see and learn from. Unfortunately, many Christians today are far from exuding such godly traits; they do not preach Christ without words.

To be a role model means to show yourself as a good example to others in word and in deed. It means showing forth the godliness in you for others to emulate. Can you vouch for yourself in that category? You don’t have to become a leader before you start to manifest godly qualities.

Matthew 5:16-17 says, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” This is asking you to make a glaring difference that befits a child of God wherever you find yourself. Shine that light of God in your environment; the house where you live, in your office or marketplace, your community, or even in your church.

Remember that the world wants to read you as a book. You are the epistle that others want to read before they read the Bible. Let your words and actions speak of Christ, who you are, and also define who you are. Many people are learning from you as they observe the godly attitudes, behaviours and utterances that show that you are indeed a good and worthy ambassador of Christ.

Beloved, can God trust you to be His ambassador and role model on earth today? He expects you as a believer to turn sinners to Christ and unbelievers to righteousness through your lifestyle. The truth is that all Christians are called to lifestyle evangelism. Through our exemplary lifestyle, you and I are to make the world see, appreciate and seek Christ and all He stands for.

1. O God, arise and make me a reference point for others to emulate, in the name of Jesus.
2. Negative attributes that bring insults to the name of the Lord, depart from my life now, in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, help me to win souls without words, in the name of Jesus.

4. My life shall not be a disgrace to heaven, in the name of Jesus.
5. Light of God shine in me and through me, in the name of Jesus.
6. Any area of my life that is yet to surrender to God, surrender now, in the name of Jesus.
7. Holy Spirit, water my life so that it can bear godly fruits and abide in Christ, in the name of Jesus.
