TOPIC: Wonderful God (II)

MEMORISE:
“And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:” – (Acts 19:11)

READ: Acts 19:11-16 (KJV)

MESSAGE:
Beyond making you a wonder, God can decide to use you as a vessel through whom He will be doing wonders on earth. This is one thing every believer should pursue. In Acts 5:12-16, the Bible tells us about the great wonders that God performed through the apostles and how He even healed the sick through Peter’s shadow. If the shadow of a man begins to heal the sick, definitely that man has become a vessel for wonders.

If you want to become a vessel for wonders, you will have to really deny yourself of many things. Apostle Paul was without any doubt a vessel for wonders because his handkerchiefs and aprons worked miracles. (1 Corinthians 10:23) says: All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

If you want God to do wonders for you, you have to stay away from anything that is considered unlawful; however, if you want Him to do wonders through you, you have to stay away from even things that are lawful but not expedient. It is not unlawful to eat, but when you want Him to do wonders through you, fasting will become a regular practice for you.

It is not unlawful to spend good time with friends chatting, but for those who God will do wonders through, they will spend more time with Him praying and studying their Bible than they spend with other people. They will give of their substance so much that people will say they are running crazy, they will serve in His house like they are being paid millions; in all, they will give themselves totally to God. These are the kinds of people through whom God will do wonders.

Moses, the man through whom God parted the Red Sea, spent more time on the mountain than below it. Indeed, he was so accustomed to the presence of God that the spoke to Him face to face (Exodus 33:11). Elijah – the man who called down fire on Mount Carmel and shut the heavens over Israel for three years was always found on the mountain (2 Kings 1:9). You have to offer yourself as a living sacrifice unto God (Romans 12:1), if you want Him to do wonders through you.
