Prayer Points on Open Heaven

Pastor E. A. Adeboye did not write these prayer points, by one of his numerous disciples, for Christ, who was inspired and mandated by the Holy Spirit, about 5 years ago, (effective January 1st, 2015), to start writing these prayer points, based on the Open Heavens Daily Devotional, authored by Pastor E. A. Adeboye.

Prayer Points on Open Heaven 8 November 2023

Heavenly Father, I praise You as the only “I AM.”

Abba Father, thank You for Your provision and protection over my life and household

Father, I confess that I have been prideful in my thoughts, words, and deeds. Forgive me, and help me to turn away from my pride.

Father, please take away every iota of pride in my life today, in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, I ask that You will keep me and my household humble and free from pride, in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, Show me how my pride has hurt others and myself. Help me to make amends and to walk in humility.

Father, I ask for the grace to stay humble and avoid self-focus, in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, I ask that You will grant me gratitude in all the victories, in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, please arrest the heart of some of our leaders who feel too big to serve their people, but rather feed their ego and fuel evil agenda in our society, in Jesus’ name

Father, please deliver me and my household from ALL evil today, in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, please visit my situation (mention your personal challenges) with Your light and make a way where there seems to be no way, in Jesus’ name. (Isaiah 43:19)

Father, please uplift my nation (mention your country) and let Your peace reign in our lands, in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, please continue to give Your son, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and his household the grace to stand for You and continue to share edifying messages with Your children around the world, in the mighty name of Jesus

Fill me with your love, so that I may see myself and others as you see us. Help me to put others before myself and to serve them with humility.

Teach me to be content with who you have made me to be. Help me to trust in your plan for my life and to be grateful for all that you have given me.

Give me the strength to resist the temptation to boast or to compare myself to others. Help me to be humble and to give you all the glory.

Here are some specific prayer points against pride in different areas of your life:

Pride in my appearance: Lord, help me to be content with my appearance. Help me to see my body as a gift from you and to use it for your glory.

Pride in my accomplishments: Lord, help me to be grateful for my accomplishments. Help me to remember that they are all from you and that I can do nothing without you.

Pride in my intelligence: Lord, help me to be humble about my intelligence. Help me to use it to serve others and to share your love with the world.

Pride in my social status: Lord, help me to be content with my social status. Help me to see everyone as equal in your sight and to treat everyone with respect.

Pride in my possessions: Lord, help me to be detached from my possessions. Help me to see them as blessings from you and to use them to help others.

Submit yourself and your personal petitions to God. Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.

Your personal petitions. (Philippians 4:6)

In Jesus name, I pray. (John 14:13-14; 15:16)

Thank you, Father, for answered prayers. (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
