MFM Daily Devotional 20 September 2023 MESSAGE

Poverty is a product of the curse of the law. It became man’s lot as a result of the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. However, the Bible affirms that Christ has redeemed believers from the curse of the law (poverty, sickness and death) through His substitutionary work on the cross at Calvary. Jesus took our poverty and gave us blessings instead.

This life-changing truth is still unknown to many believers; ignorance of it has allowed the enemy to continue short-changing them. The Bible assures that you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free, as you believe and apply it wisely. This includes the truth about freedom from poverty and all kinds of afflictions.

Beloved, you can overcome poverty and dislodge it from your life. Let us examine some of the keys you can apply to achieve this all-important goal. The first key is believing God’s word and setting your priorities correctly. You must seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and other things shall be added to you, including money and all other good treasures of life. Unfortunately, many people want to be rich and prosperous today but do not want to be holy and righteous.

The second key is brokenness. This is absolute submission or surrender to God in all areas of life. When you are broken, God will trust you and place His wealth in your hands because He knows you will use it only according to divine instructions. The third key is giving. Giving freely and cheerfully will open the heavens and the storehouse of God for you. Giving is to be hospitable and generous towards God and others, not only on issue of finance but in totality.

As a Christian, you are called to give your offering, first fruit, alms, pay your tithe and show mercy to the poor as the Lord has commanded. No matter how small, always endeavor to give willingly ad cheerfully to the Lord. Your reward will surpass your imagination!

I encourage you to use these keys today to dislodge poverty from your life and enter into your unending season of supernatural blessings, in the name of Jesus.
